System Down! System Down!

Synopsis
En route to the Hikari-No, our heroes find themselves pursued by an unmarked Gamezohan fighter. They're shot down, their ship crashing on a jungle planet. The following day, they go looking for water and accidently stumble upon The Sacred Lake of the Maidens, where they are captured by a race of Amazonian warriors. Wernher Gauss transforms into his dragon form, and the Amazons take him for a savior that will defeat the evil Duchess Salyra Roquelaure.
That night, Salyra's minons attack the Amazonian camp, capturing our heroes and hypnotizing them to do her bidding. Jon Krigsley, with the assistance of the Miriam Nanobots, is found to be immune and uses his newfound strength to incapacitate the others and defeat Salyra. The Amazonians arrive and everyone returns to their camp. Our heroes beat a hasty retreat from the planet when Gauss learns, as part of the legend, he is to impregnate the Amazonian leader, Laissa.
In space, the fighter reappears and is finally identified as Ricardus von Sphexoren, a close friend of Gauss. Whutty escorts the heroes to the Baronat of Halak, where many Gamezohan loyalists have gathered.
During the party, Jon has his first run in with a Silberwyrmritter of Gamezoha called Klot. Gauss also meets with Krystal Halak, said to be the purest fae in the universe. Their love is marred by their pure blood, which prevents them from becoming true lovers.
Vincit Omnibus is also surprised by the arrival of Nike Gauss and her girlfriend Katje van Hagenkaard before Oscar Angeles warns him of impending trouble. Then the Baron of Halak is suddenly killed.
