DAMOCLES

DAMOCLES is a nanobot virus infiltrated throughout the galaxy using internet regulation software. A modified version of the virus was given to Adamus by Moebius for use as a biological weapon which was used against Jon Krigsley during an attempted escape.

During an accident with a microwave nanoreprogrammer, Oscar Angeles inadvertantly reverted the nanovirus to its original programming called VeeEm. The sentient program took on a personality based on Jon's faith system, calling itself Miriam.

DAMOCLES' goal is to enslave the universe and "take the place" of God.

Individuals who are willingly infected by the DAMOCLES virus become DAMOCLES vampires. Others who are infected by other means usually lose control of their bodies to the nanobots for an undetermined period of time, after which death my occur, if the body isn't properly cared for.
