The Great Thaynan War was a two and a half century long battle between Gamezoha and the Chamaleen of the planet Thayna.

The war itself would've been easily won by the Gamezohans had Sky Marshall Lezlei Nyelsson not mistakenly dropped twelve million tons of state-of-the-art weaponry and munitions on the wrong hemisphere of the planet. The botched operation gave the Chamaleen the firepower they needed to fight back against the invading Gamezohan forces for about 250 years until the Gamezohans deployed the K-Bomb, eradicating 99% of the remaining Chamaleen race on the planet.

Unbeknownst to the many involved, the Great Thaynan War was orchestrated by the Illuminati Prima in an effort to uncover the hidden location of The Pyramid. Although the reasons for the conflict aren't given in great detail, Adelais Aberdash explains in Chapter 26 that the war was sabotaged: "Our best units either weren’t employed, or were actively given assignments to avoid any victorious outcome before an exhaustive search conducted by the Premier (Moebius) could make a discovery under the fog of war. It was a conscious experiment at defeat, so we’d know how to proceed in the event."

This discovery was made by Mihai Costescu, as explained in Chapter 11.
