Nanolife: Creating Sub-Molecular Self-Replicating Error-Prone Mechanicals
Written by Dr. Josephus de Viaminima. The basic premise of the book involves producing self-replicating nanobots and goes on to suggest the hypothesis that since all living, and eventually sentient creatures evolved by producing random errors in DNA and retaining advantageous mutations, the key to life itself must be in the imperfect copy, and the reason it had been impossible so far to create machines that were alive was that machines could only make perfect copies of themselves. *Whew!*
Kylie Sphexoren owns a well-read copy.
