Named for Captain Arnold Judas ("Ace") Rimmer, the first man to successfully complete it, this extremely difficult and hazardous space flight maneuver is used to escape black holes. The ship heads directly into the hole, spins around the rim of the singularity and uses the gravitational force as a slingshot catapult.

 

Frequently attempted, rarely successful.
