The personal guard of the Gamezohan Emperor. All are handpicked dragons chosen for their loyalty and experience. During the Republican Spasm, they took refuge in the Baronat of Halak. The only stain in the otherwise spotless history of the Guard, of course, is having allowed the coup to occur in the first place. This is generally blamed on the weakness of Emperor Wilhelm, but the Guard considers it its own failure.

Palatine guards have a historically acknowledged tendency to become king-makers instead of king-protectors. Intrigue is kept to a minimum in the Gamezohan case thanks to the unquestioned hierarchy and fidelity among the Dragon Houses.
