Synopsis

Presented in the form of an excerpt from the Kantonnen Wanderer’s Handbook to the Universe, this is another story in the series of "The Tale of...", which purports to tie together some elements of the Book's backstory.

This Tale, specifically, is about the proto-Gamezohans (the Gazraki race) who lived before the arrival of the dragons, their character, social mores, virtues and defects.

Trivia

• This Tale introduces the secondary character Sippo Kantonnen.
• This is the second Tale, after The Tale of the Dht'n'k'lz, to deal with the history of a race instead of with the history of an individual.
• Many cultural traits of the Gamezohans as depicted throughout the Book, especially in Chapter 26, can be traced to some Gazraki influence by the dilligent reader of this Tale.
• This is where we learn of the "The Metal Failures" mural, one of the splendorous features at the imperial palace of Kubrik.
